A workshop focussed on how grandparents can support their grandchildren’s mental health within the family-social network
Wellbeing Program
A young person’s mental health is shaped not only by parents, but by the entire family, social and technical environment around them.
The workshop helps grandparents understand how to support the young person possibly facing stress, difficult communications, confusing alliances, and unspoken tensions throughout the network.
Grandparents have a special opportunity as stabilisers, observers, and trusted emotional figures, to provide understandings and opportunities to support a young person’s wellbeing immediately and long term.
The workshop is generally 4 hours.
